I'm a bit surprised, honestly. Sounds like some organization may be behind the refusals one way or another, or maybe a concerted effort of one or a few people, perhaps from a particular church. I have particular interest because I lived for over 8 years in Eugene and very much made it and Oregon my home, loving it there. I'd enjoy living there again and hope Ptld. and the state can retain its tendency to be innovative and progressive despite having a lot of conservatives, religiously and politically throughout the state.
Thanks for checking in, Howard. I happened to talk with David Felten of Living the Questions at the Big Tent Christianity even in Phoenix last week. David told me that LTQ opted to buy space in the New York Times instead, which has pretty much eaten up their advertising budget. There has still been no detailed answer to why the Portland radio stations pulled the "Saving Jesus" ads.
