In light of the ongoing demonstrations in Wisconsin and elsewhere on behalf of workers' rights – something that The Progressive Christian thoroughly endorses – here's an interesting piece from, of all places, the Trazzler travel site: a slideshow highlighting places of protest around the world where "people's history" – a phrase coined by the late scholar Howard Zinn -- occurred.

Just over two years ago, I read my first Howard Zinn book. The book was A People's History of the United States and it taught me a lot about the struggles of Native Americans, African Americans, women, war resisters and workers to overcome prejudice and fight for their rights in this country.
