I am a Disciples of Christ pastor serving Central Woodward Christian Church in Troy, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit.  I am trained as a church historian, edit the journal Sharing the Practice  for the Academy of Parish Clergy, and am active in local interfaith and ecumenical groups.  I've authored several books and many articles and reviews for journals such as Congregations, Christian Century, Progressive Christian, Church History, Anglican and Episcopal History, Anglican Theological Review.  I am also a blogger at Ponderings on a Faith Journey.   I have two new books  from Energion Publications -- Ultimate Allegiance:  The Subversive Nature of the Lord's Prayer and Ephesians:  A Participatory Bible Study Guide.
